One of the reasons it’s hard to stick to a budget (or a diet) in this city is that there’s no such thing as “regular living”. There’s always a holiday, something to celebrate – a reason to buy a bottle of champagne, to go out, to enjoy a festival. And if there’s not an official holiday or event, someone from out of town comes to visit, and that’s a cause for celebration too!
