Magical sunset

It rained almost all day.  And then we were treated to this as the sun went down.  It looked like the sky was on fire.  My sweetheart and I were driving home together, which is pretty unusual – typically he’s on his bike.  So we decided to go to the river to have a better view, patiently driving through traffic hoping the sky would still be lit.  And it was.  So orange – so bright! We walked to the edge of the river, watching the barges float past, while flocks of whistling ducks zipped over us, heading off to roost somewhere, or perhaps migrating through the night.  My Facebook news feed is full of pics of this sunset – we weren’t the only ones who stopped to admire it!  Photos never quite do sunsets justice, but hope you enjoy anyway!IMG_2205 IMG_2206 IMG_2208 IMG_2212

So pretty! We had the same thing here – I went out to feed our pigeons and was so gratefuly that I got to see the gorgeous purple sunset through our woods. Had to remind myself of the saying, “Pink sky in the morning, sailor warning. Pink sky at night, sailor delight.”

From one sunset afficianado to another, Thank You. I find myself continually posting them on my blog also, but not even fantastically beautiful ones like this one, any little bit of color and variety seems to please me;] I never get tired of seeing them.
