Bars of NOLA Tour: #1- The Sazerac in the Roosevelt Hotel

I’ve written about the Sazerac before – it’s a beautiful bar in a beautiful hotel.  I’ve decided in 2013 to try Happy Hour at a different bar nearly every Friday – and started last night with the Sazerac.  It’s a popular bar with lots of cushy seating, and you feel kind of glamorous and from another era being there. While the holiday decorations in the lobby were already down, they were still offering a lot of holiday-themed drinks.  My hot buttered rum was especially tasty!  I’ve grown to love a warm alcoholic drink. If you’re ever in downtown NOLA, the Roosevelt Hotel is worth a stop!

Brilliant! This is something I have always wanted to do also. Would love to join you in a couple weeks when I return. Would be something to look forward to and make the cold weather more palatable:)
Thank you for the great pics. Made me feel like I was there.

  2. This will be fun! Can’t wait to see where we are going next!

I love the pics! Funny, I’m doing a new restaurant every week in 2013. Great minds think alike, eh? :)
