Summer treat #30 – rain lilies

When it rains a lot, a few days later these beautiful lilies emerge.  Just one flower on one stem.  A day and then they’re gone.  Definitely a summer treat!

  2. I love Lilies. Youv’e just reminded me I’ve got some languishing in a pot and now needs splitting or planting in the ground.

    Someone I used to work for would give me lilies every year at Easter. At the time I lived in an apartment and I planted them along the walk by my back door. I don’t live there anymore but I do occasionally walk by there and love seeing my lilies.
