Summer treat #26 – resurrection ferns


The live oak trees of New Orleans are carpeted with resurrection ferns.  And in the summer when it rains nearly every day, the ferns are lush and luxuriantly green.  When it’s dry, they curl up and turn brown.  But right now they’re in ferny abundance. And I love that.

    After rumbling and rambling all day, it’s finally raining here in BR. That looks just like the Oak in my moms yard all alive and green.

    Ferns that grown on a tree? I’ve never heard of such a thing…
