Do people wear glitter hats to your farmers’ market? She had on cool white and red striped socks too! I love this!
I bought a half flat of strawberries and cut them up and froze them for smoothies. I made a gorgeous salad with local beets, tomatoes, strawberries, goat cheese and egg, plus baby kale, sunflower seeds and balsamic vinaigrette.
I feel so rich and so lucky. Go see Anna Kunnecke at her blog and click on “You’re rrrrich” and see if you feel rich too. I bet you can come up with a hundred reasons you’re rich – or more! Oh here’s one more for me – within two feet of me right now are white wine, dark chocolate, and a sleeping cat. And a sweet husband in the other room playing Bo Diddley/Soft Boys/Bow Wow Wow on guitar and singing. Yep. I’m a lucky girl.

Wine and chocolate…a winning combo. Rich indeed!
As long as it’s red wine!
Love them both! White is nice when it gets warm out, I think!
Red for dark, white for milk, but farmers’ market in the day followed with a lovely man strumming on his guitar in the background while relaxing with a delectable line up is real winning combination!
Yes -mixing the dark with the white wine – a little funny, but still yummy!
Yes – lucky lucky!
Strawberries and eggs in a salad, now I’ve not had that before. Hmm.
Surprisingly yummy, I think. Strawberries in salads are pretty popular her in NOLA, especially this time of year – Louisiana strawberry season. And I love an egg in salad – especially if it’s just between hard and soft boiled. Adds flavor and protein. Yum!
Oh, that salad look so yummy!! We’re still a month or so away from farmer’s market season, and it’s been too chilly to plant our own lettuces (someday I will build a cold box and that will eliminate that excuse!). Love that hat, too.
Yay! Trying to figure out lunch today – I put the last of the kale in a green smoothie this morning… hmmm.
That salad looks fantastic!
It was delicious – especially eaten outside in the sunshine!
I started a new blog 2 weeks ago that drives exactly at this point. (http://threedailydelights.wordpress.com/) We are all so rich in so many ways!
Love this! Miss reading your stuff, Stef- still figuring out how to spend my days to do everything I want to do!
Great looking salad…and I love Bo Diddley. Have you heard of Hamilton Loomis? Check it out…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8frOyzhTD0o
No – I will have to check him out! Thanks for the link!
