183 pages of gorgeous. My whole Appalachian Trail blog, plus hundreds of photos, all in a book – a real 11×13 coffee table, hardcover book.
It’s beautiful. It’s a tangible, right-there-on-the-table testament to that amazing journey I was in the middle of two years ago.
This is one of the projects I completed during my blogcation. You may recall that I wrote about “slurping” my blog into a book way back in February, and I’d started on it before that. It’s a marvelous feeling, finally having the physical object — something I can hold in my hot little hands. I’d recommend Blurb to anyone who wants to create a book.
Look inside – isn’t it pretty?
Ok – one more page.
So special. Even a few years ago I would have had to settle for a scrapbook or photo album full of yellowing papers and sliding out pictures. This is so much cooler – what a fantastic world we live in!

That’s awesome!!!
This is SO fantastic! Congratulations!!
Inspiring. What a great document/artifact to hold in your hand and turn the pages and relive your adventures. I think it is beautiful! Looks like a LOT of work to put it together, too. Way to go!!!
Very nice! Love it and what a great way to capture the whole experience.
What a great idea! This will be a treasured memento of your extraordinary experience. Well worth the effort!
Congratulations. It looks fantabulous!!!!
Wow! That is wonderful. Much better than a scrapbook. Great memory keeper.
Thanks so much for the congratulatory comments, everyone! Much appreciated!
Wonderful!
I ♥ Blurb. I’ve made a couple of books there. They do a great job of it.
Yes – I would totally recommend them. I’m really pleased with the way the book turned out.
Such a wonderful treasure to look back upon and share. Enjoy
Thank you!
