I have fifteen minutes to compose a coherent post. More on the post a day thing and whether the dog is wagging the tail or the tail is wagging the dog a bit later – perhaps tomorrow. I’ll tell you my dilemma then, and ask if you have the same problem.
In the meantime, please enjoy these images of a cool New Orleans landmark: J&M Recording Studio where many famous rock and roll and R&B artists recorded hits, including Little Richard. It’s one of only eleven official Rock and Roll Landmarks nationwide. We walked by it yesterday evening – I’d never noticed it before. Cool!

I take my hat off to anyone posting every day!
Thanks, PiP! We’ll see what I pull off as I head off to hike for a week!
I like the discipline of daily posting but lately with recovering from injury I have been pulling from archives I had already shot instead of keeping it in real time.
It has been good to reflect and cull from the files.
People have asked me, isn’t it too much pressure to post everyday but I was doing it, self-imposed, before the challenge. For me it is like a daily journal entry. Some days are clearly more interesting or thought out than others but different people respond to different posts and I am always amazed.
I agree with what you are saying about the daily journal entry – I’ve been bad about waiting until the end of the day and then feeling time-pressed. But you’re right – it’s so neat to go back and have a record of something that I posted or wrote each day! I look back and think, hey – pretty fun life I’m leading!
I’m an all-or-nothing kind of gal (though I am working on getting better at that…), but for me, if I let one day slip by w/o posting, it’s too easy to let more and more post-less days pass. That, and I genuinely enjoy writing. And, I’m seeing *notable* improvement in my writing through the ‘simple’ discipline of creating a new post every day. Yes, some days I”m tired and would prefer to dink instead of write – but I know I’ll be better for it if I post. So I do.
It’s not for everyone – but it is for me. For right now, anyway.
So glad you’re doing a daily post – it really makes sense with the goals of your blog, because there is always something to smile about, right? I enjoy reading about your daily smile, Stef!
